Cartier Juste un Clou Price in 2026: Bracelets, Rings and Resale

The Cartier Juste un Clou price in 2026, from about $1,580 for a ring and $4,180 for the small bracelet to $15,000 with diamonds, plus history and resale.

The Cartier Juste un Clou price in 2026 starts at about $1,580 for a slender white gold ring and about $4,180 for the small gold bracelet, rising to about $8,700 for the classic gold bangle and about $15,000 once diamonds line its head. It is a lot of money for a nail. It is also one of the most quietly self-assured pieces of jewelry a house has ever made: a single length of 18k gold, bent around the wrist as if by a patient hand, with no need to explain itself.

How much does a Cartier Juste un Clou bracelet cost in 2026?

Cartier last moved its US Juste un Clou prices in September 2025, when, according to PurseBop’s tracking of the increase, jewelry rose by about 13% overall. When Cartier adjusted prices again on May 21, 2026, both FASHIONPHILE and 58 Facettes reported that the change applied to watches and that Juste un Clou jewelry stayed where it was. These are the US list prices at the time of writing, as recorded after the September 2025 increase; confirm the current figure with Cartier before you buy.

Bracelet, classic model, 18k yellow gold$8,700

The jump from small to classic is more than a matter of size. The classic model is the heavier, more architectural bangle, the one most people picture; the small model is a finer line of gold that stacks easily and reads more delicately on a slim wrist. Diamonds along the nail add about $6,300 to the yellow gold classic.

How much is a Juste un Clou ring?

The ring is the gentlest way into the collection. At the time of writing, PurseBop lists these US prices:

  • Small model, white gold: about $1,580.
  • Small model, 18k yellow gold with diamonds: about $3,120.
  • Classic model, 18k yellow gold with diamonds: about $5,050.
  • Small model, half-paved, 18k yellow gold with diamonds: about $6,800.

The collection also includes earrings, necklaces and fully paved high jewelry versions; prices for those vary widely by stone count and are best checked piece by piece with a boutique.

Juste un Clou vs the Love bracelet: which should you buy?

Both came from the same designer and the same decade, and they are often worn together. The Love bracelet is a closed oval fastened with a screwdriver; the Juste un Clou is a hinged bangle that opens without a tool. Who What Wear put it neatly, calling the nail “the Cartier Love bracelet’s younger and easier-to-remove sister.” In gold, the classic Juste un Clou costs a little more than the classic Love, which we priced at about $7,950 in our Cartier Love bracelet price guide.

In our view, the Love is the better choice for someone who wants a bracelet they never take off, while the Juste un Clou suits a wearer who likes to change her stack, or who wants something that feels a touch more graphic and modern. For a softer signature, compare the clover motifs in our Van Cleef Alhambra price guide.

What is the history of the Juste un Clou?

The Juste un Clou, French for “just a nail,” was conceived in 1971 by Aldo Cipullo, the Naples-born designer who also gave Cartier the Love bracelet. It belongs to Cartier’s New York of the 1970s, a moment when fine jewelry began borrowing from the hardware of daily life: nuts, bolts, screws and, here, a single bent nail. Cartier later honored that era with an exhibition at its Fifth Avenue mansion, Cartier & Aldo Cipullo, New York City in the 70s.

The design returned as a full collection in 2012, with bangles and rings in yellow, rose and white gold, some with pavé diamonds set into the head of the nail. In 2017 the line grew to include earrings, cufflinks, tie pins and a torque necklace, according to Who What Wear. An everyday object, turned once around the wrist, and made precious by restraint.

What does a pre-owned Juste un Clou cost?

Resale prices depend on condition, size and paperwork. Two recent listings give a sense of the range. Circa Jewels listed a worn classic yellow gold bracelet, with its box and 2026 Cartier service papers, at $5,500 against a stated retail of $8,700; the listing now shows it as sold. Gray & Sons offered a 2025 classic white gold bracelet with box and papers at $8,500, against an estimated retail of $9,300. On rings, InvestedLuxury cites Rebag’s 2025 Clair Report as placing the Juste un Clou ring at about 101% of retail on the secondary market.

Those figures are snapshots, not promises: past resale prices don’t predict future value. If you buy pre-owned, insist on the serial number, original papers where possible and a seller with a clear authenticity guarantee and return policy.

How to choose your Juste un Clou

  • Size with care: the bangle is rigid and hinged, so a boutique fitting matters more than with a chain bracelet. Bring the watch or bracelets you plan to stack with it.
  • Small or classic: the small model is the better stacker and the gentler price; the classic is the statement.
  • Metal: yellow gold is the most recognizable; white gold sits a little higher in price; rose gold is the softest against warm skin tones.
  • Diamonds: worth it if the bracelet will be worn alone; in a busy stack, plain gold often reads more clearly.
